You want to drive around the box and then reverse into it ifyou can. You want a big smokeshow to get these real hot.

If you can avoid the waterbox, do. Try not to track water everywhere with the fronts. Get the rears wet, but don't spin them in the water. Pull out in the dry, and do a nice 2nd gear burnout. Plenty of smoke. You should feel them trying to bite.

WARNING! Don't come back and yell at me if you break an axle or screw something up, but when you feel the tires are hot enough, let off the brakes and roll out 5-10 feet still spinning. It's kinda hard on the drive train, but that's the best way to get them really hot IMO.

Track pressure is not a concrete number. If it's prepped well, you could get away with 17-18. If you're having trouble sticking, maybe 12-15. On the street, I've always ran 26-28.

If you pay attention to one thing I've said, remember this. You want to run AS MUCH pressure as you can get away with. Lower pressure that you need will just create extra drag, and slow you down. Your car is heavy, so the pressure is needed. Good luck, and REMEMBER TO POST YOUR TIMES IN THE TIMESLIPS STICKY!

I don't think you should have to worry about upgrading axles until you get a stall and a real slick. Those MT's and stock tranny should be awesome for what you are wanting to do.

You should see 12's easy

You are about to have yourself $150 it sounds like. A stock SS should be no problem, and neither should 12's.

Have you sprayed the car yet? How does it feel off the line? Lot of spin?
