run 2 stages of nitrous and you could easily hit 9's, youd just need supporting mods to hold up to the ridiculous torque nitrous motors produce.

i dont know of anybody that is actually making 9s in a 4.6. but blower/nitrous would be your best bet. it also might just be too damn hard without weight reduction

also, ull need new axles and probably a complete new rear, the 8.8 is pretty strong, but i dont think it will stand up to that abuse.
I think MMR had a customer in the 8's with a 2v 4.6.

And I know about the rear end. I know what it would take to make the car withstand certain power, I just want to know how much power I'd need to be in the 9's.
that customer had a lot of weight reduction and a hell of a lot of suspension work + slicks

u are going to need like 600 + rwhp, drastic weight reduction to hit those numbers, and a drag suppension...

2 stages? Elaborate? I'm a nitrous n00b.

Like I said before, I'm not worried about what I'll need or break, I'm just looking for HP and TQ numbers I'll need. Getting parts to withstand the power isn't the concern here, I was just curious about what kind of numbers I'll need so I can plan a build.

750-800+ WHP and probably sub 1.4 60' times, automatic transmission would help alot.

There is no reason to talk about doing this with a nitrous car, because the motor setup is going to be so wild you have no buisness driving it on the street anyway.

I don't think it can be done (full weight, stock style suspension) with nitrous alone. I have yet to see a n20 car making much more than 550-600 WHP. You just can't keep increasing the shot size till you get there, no matter what the motor setup.

10s can be had pretty easy though, and it will be ALOT more streetable and IMO fun. Talking full boltons, forged engine assembly, full suspension boltons, and a big blower or turbo setup. 600-650 WHP and some sticky tires (say 1.5 or so 60') should have you there easy.

and why wouldnt a fully forged motor with a 2 stage setup of nitrous be able to get you in the 9s. spraying off the line on the first stage you would havean impressive 60 ft with a relatively small first stage as to not blow the tires off and a large second stage once you get out of first gear.

600 hp with full suspension and weight reduction will get you in the 10s. With your current set up you will need 800+.

Put your rear swaybar back on before you smack your car into the wall. That thing keeps you going straight.

Well what should I do for suspension that I haven't listed? I found these UPR kits. They say they're good to 2000hp.

http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=298 (obviously the drag option on the side)

or

What's the difference between the two rear ones. I noticed in the second one, it didn't say stock tail pipes won't fit.

With those kits I could use any shocks and struts I wanted, right?

Or is there a better way to setup the suspension?
