Im looking to buy a new exaust for my 98 gt but dont know what to get. I would like to get something that is as loud as possible[8D]but also something that is not going to make me fail inspection.

I live in New York and i know tons of places i can go to have it inspected and make it pass.... but i dont feel like paying $130 a year for a stupid inspection....

So whats the best bang for the buck?

 

SLP 1's or 2's then

 

i looked those up and i see they dont come with mufflers theyre jst pipes. what kind of mufflers would i need to get to go with those?

 

they are called resonators...those are the "mufflers" of the slp lm1 systems...the lm2 is more like a glasspack in that it is packed..but still straight through

catted X with lm1 or 2s. 1s are louder but 2s have more tone

No offense, but thats exactly why I hate SLP exhaust on mustangs. To me it sounds like on huge exhaust leak, like your mufflers are rusted through. I'm assuming you've got an o/r X?

edit: to each his own, its your car. I just don't see how people are so in love with that sound. When I worked at an exhaust shop, people used to bring their cars in to get fixed when they souded like that.
