i was just wondering after you warm up your DR, what rpm do ya'll drop it at? Im racing this kid tonight and he got me last time because i had my stockers and spun 1rst and 2nd... just wana be sure i got it right this time.

With nittos, you cannot just dump it at any RPM above 2k without spinning (at least with my luck anyway). They work best if you slip the clutch at say 3k or so...you just have to practice it.

You don't warm up a nitto. You RAPE them for 30 secs and get them as hot as possible. Put about 16-17psi in them and if the surface is decent, you should be able to do a 4000+rpm clutch dump. Even if you spin a little bit, they should bite hard enough to get you out in front. Practice for yourself a couple times and see.

i can get away with a 3-3500k dump when i warm then up real good and run around 17psi in them. but i have a few susoension mods...go practice a few launches befor u race him.

I have them on my TA, they are just about spanked so i will be getting different tires in the spring. My friend had them on his Mach 1 also, same thing, you really need to heat them up!

If it was a close race with your street tires, you could probably leave off idle and still beat the guy. Unless you have a few mods, you won't really spin much leaving at idle and probably not at all in 2nd.
