I was on drag radials. I think the smoke you seen at the other end of the track was raw fuel. I have a stand alone fuel system for the nitrous and we ran out of time before we could get the mixture perfect so it's pretty rich. I could smell raw race fuel after the run too and I only had race fuel in the nitrous fuel cell and 93 in the gas tank.
I bought all the stuff to do it from summit. Give me a little bit and I can give you the part numbers. You want to do a low pressure system, it's much easier to tune and cheaper to buy. Just set the pressure at 12 lbs to start with and put the same size fuel pill as you do nitrous pill in. It really simplifies things.
what do you think you run with some slicks and skinnys?
I really don't know. I haven't even ever been in a car that had them. From what I've seen other cars do here I think it would make a noticable difference though. I'll try em one day hopefully.
I bought them from a friend. He bought them brand new for around 450 to his door for the pair. He drove to the dyno and back with them and the car messed up when he got back so he took them off and is selling the car now. They had maybe 100 miles of use on them with no burnouts or spinning on them at all. I give him 350 for them. I know that with them being low profile my 60 fts aren't going to be the best so I think the 1.65 60 is pretty good for what i'm working with.
