Default Traction Controll

Okay so this has been bugging me for quite a while, there seems to be so many different oppinions. I have heard people say that with FI cars, that any compotent tuner will turn the traction control off, and I have many say that something about it causes detonation, and then others say that this isn't true.

I know with Oxfordgt, he asked about a knock sensor that doesn't reduce timing, it just alerts you when there is detonation (BTW I couldn't find the exact part number, I called the guys up and they are going to email it to me), so is Traction control good, or bad?

i believe that you should turn it off cause i know i do everytime i get in the car..im sure im gonna say what u have heard but when t/c kicks in it cuts off the fuel supply so just imagine if u try to get on it or are in boost and u have no fuel goin to the motor? no good and i cant imagine how it would be good to keep it on other of course traction but once again i turn mine off first thing when i get in the car

yeah, thats what I was wondering, I have heard people say that it cuts fuel, which is easy to see why its bad, but I have heard others say that it just reduces timing, which I don't think is bad. I just ain't sure, I wanted to see if anyone was

SHM says it cuts fuel. They blew up their very first S/C new edge by not turning off T/C
