Ya i 100% agree that 5 speeds are more fun to drive. Im just trying to understand why some people are so eliteist over you for having an Auto.

Like i said up above i got the better deal on this... It is not because i cannot drive a 5 speed(a toddler could) and thats why i find it funny when people are so proud because they hhave a manual. They act like it makes them a better driver or something?

I don't look down on automatics when they are someone elses car, but if I am looking to buy a car I do. I enjoy driving manuals a lot more. If I built an all out drag car I would go with an automatic, but I just like having a fun street car and I enjoy manuals.

 

I notice a lot of people get the "oh you have an auto" look when they ask me what I have or look in my car. Seems they look down on ONLY Mustangs with autos and LS cars no one cares because LS cars aredamn quickeither way. I love my auto though and especially with the HP levels I want I wouldn't have it any other way.

automatics are great IMO howver we do lose more HP to the wheels than a manual does. By 8 or 9% to. But I do win most of my races because I have an automatic. They are most consitant and also shift better than a manual can IMO.

 

Its like buying a porcshe with an automatic transmission. Sport cars/muscle cars should all be manual not automatics. You have better control of vehicle with manual tranny and it more fun to drive period even in traffic.Manuals in mustangsare simplyworth moreas they are more desirable.

If your goal is to have a drag car then auto with a high stall would be prefered.

 

no.but i would never go back to an auto car after getting the edge.its just more fun to drive and you have control of your whole car.i liked my 95 5.0 which was an auto but i dont think ill ever have another auto car again.

 

i can see some people looking down on the ford guys because they know ford has some crappy automatic trannys.the ls guys autos with a stall is just as good as their manuals.

 

i truley believe that a 5 speed is for the enthusiast, where the auto is for commuting, and heavily built drag cars(odd contrast i know). thats just me.

For street driving, there is nothing an auto can do to touch heel-toe shifting on corners, it just sets your motor exactly where it needs to be when you need to accelerate. I've raced auto's on the streets, and corners is where they lose.

 

How are verts gay? I dont get it I'm the only one out of my boys who doesn't have a vert and girls walk up to their cars before mine. Convertibles are chick magnets.
