Default vacuum leak... HELP NOW PLEASE

Ok i think its a vacuum leak. It idles at around 1k and 11 hundred it idles a little bit rough and when I drove it it drives roughs and almost feals like it is misfiring. It kind of jerks and at times it will be a hard jerk and at other times u can barely feel it. Does anyone know where this leakmight be or if it might be anything else?

i dont know about the idle. but other than that, sounds to me like what i have...a coil pack going bad. i have it miss on me from time to time. and when i got in it one time, it missed so bad that it threw the CEL and scared the crap out of me. so i think the missing could be attributed to a bad coil pack. just my opinion, not sure if its true.

have you even started checking for vaccume leaks or do you want a "fix this hose" solution? your gonna have to get under your hood and start looking. go to walmart, get one of those small handheld propane torches, DONT LIGHT THE TORCH just turn the butane on and start spraying around your hoses. if your car starts acting wierd (idle changes) when you spray certain spots you have a leak there.

sounds like you could have a cop going bad also. check for vaccumes first...easiest.

Dude, I don't know jack about tech, and I still know that your problem could be one of a thousand things. There are plenty of knowledgeable people here that will help, but you have to work with 'em a bit.

I do know it doesn't sound like a vacuum leak. My car had a substantial vacuum leak coming out of the IAC when I got it, the only issues were while at idle.

Are you getting a check engine light? If so, get the codes checked.

After that, change your plugs, fuel filter, and clean your IAC and MAF. Then report back.
