Default Awesome!

I was just browsing Summit and apparantly starting 4/20/08 they'll be making their 15" star wheels in 15x10 with a 6.5 inch backspace. That's awesome, since it's going to save me about $70 per wheel. I was going to get the Centerline Telstars, since they came in 6.5 backspace, but now I'm gonna save a big amount. And 4/20 is right around the time I'll get my tax money.

And while I'm here, how would a 29" tall tire look on a new edge. I wanted 28", but MT doesn't make the Sportsman tire in that size. It's stock rear springs, so no drop. They will fit height wise, right? I personally think they'll look pretty sick with a tall tire in the back. I'm not worried about what it'll do to performance and gear ratio. This set of wheels and tires are for regular street driving. I'll have a set of 28" slicks come track season (if winter ever ends around here).

that tire will look too tall IMO, and it'll throw your ABS light on and the brakes will act up unless you get a super tall front tire. If a 29 is the shortest tire for the sportsman, get something else. BTW what is your power output and gears you have/planning on?

I would like to get a 28", but thing is, I can't find a street tire in that height for a 15" rim that isn't over $210. The Sportsman S/R has the right size, but it's a lot more expensive. I don't want to spend that much money on tires for everyday use.

01GT4.6, what height are the slicks in your sig? 28"? A 29" will fit, right?

You do know that EVERY STREET TIRE COMPANY makes a 275/60/15 right. Most make 315-325 with 50's also, which are almost 28's.

Why do you say that you can't find it? 29's is not a good idea. It's gonna look rediculous. I know mine did with 28's and stock springs. HORRIBLE I tell ya.

I searched every tire site I could find, and the only 15 inch tire I could find in 315-325 were drag radials. I don't want to DD those. I even searched individual tire company sites and couldn't find what I was looking for. Maybe I'll shoot over to the local tire shop and see what they can do. I don't want to run 29's, but up to now it looked like my only option. 315 is the smallest I want to go, though.

So all you want is 315's that are 28in tall? In a street tires, not too expensive. Hang on. I'll go find some.

Well, 315's are the smallest. 325/60/15 or 325/50/15 (whichever is closest to 28") would be best.
