Default Cams???

i know absolutely nothing about cams and heads. i just know that when you get stage 1,2,3 or custom grind, etc, your powerband is greatly improved.. idk how to explain it since im a noob with this but for instance:

a stock GT stops making power at like 5k rpm???

if you put stage 2 H/C in your car, would your internals or valves or w/e be able to handle the extra RPM difference on a stock bottom end?? bc power will probably be cut off at like 6500k or something?? so would your engine be able to safely handle the extra 1500rpm's that its making power through??

i hope you guys understand what im asking bc im clueless as to how to explain it differently

Im questioning the same idea. I really dont want extremely large gains. I just want an extra 20-30. Just for a little exta pep without having to buy all kinds of other pieces to make it work right

I don't, that's why I've been pounding the stage II thread on here to make sure it was ok to do it. Same amount of work plus springs, may as well go with stage II, but this is just my way of looking at it.

stage I's won't come close to 20-30 hp extar, stage II's barely will. I think stage II's are rated maybe at 15hp, depending on your mods that might help a little.

stage 3's

Wouldn't this require a forged bottom end to get full effect of these cams by running at higher rpm's?
