if you want a loudmouth 1system just give me some prebent pipes, I'll take a crap in them, weld it together, and then sell it to you for the same price. otherwise it'll sound the same.

Wow you sound PisT. What do you have, please don't say 40 series zomgimeverywherecrapmasters.

LM1s are loud, but I(along with EVERYONE I know irl) likes them.

I have lm 1's and o/r x.......I didn't want to get less loud and regret it, and I sure didn't regret the lm 1's. If you go with them order them off americanmuslce.com for sure though, it is cheaper there, free shipping, better customer support and plus you get 6% off just being a member of this forum, if you didn't know...

No actually I'm going with a 3" system from the collectors into Dynomax bullets dumped over the axle.

Damn I was hoping my hardest that you had Flowmasters. One time I was at the track and like 2-3 Fox body guys told me I should get real mufflers(all had 40 series lol).

Only time someone told me they didn't like it

There's a reason why so many people have flows, they sound good.

As for the LM1's Well, when I bought my Saleen it had LM1's with a SLP catted X. It was so loud that it was embarrassing to drive. It made me feel like one of those ricers with the coffee-can exhaust tips and 35 peak HP. They always seem to think loud=fast.

I swapped out the SLP1 for a Bassani SS cat back and love how it turned out. I've had a bunch of people tell me they love the sound.

That doesn't mean that the SLP1 sucks or sounds bad... just that it was way too loud for my tastes. If you want an exhaust that might actually be louder than straight pipe, go with the SLP1's. Just don't be suprised when you keep getting pulled over for having too loud of an exhaust.

Yes, I know it's "legal" but the guy I bought the Saleen from had actually had to fight 2 or 3 tickets for just that. Too loud of exhaust.

If you like loud, I don't think there is a louder exhaust on the planet, so go for it.

I said that was my opinion and it is. It drives me nuts every time I see/hear some damn civic drive by with a 5" exhaust tip that serves no purpose other than to make the exhaust sound louder.

I have yet to have figured out why Loud = good or powerful. Maybe I'm just getting too old?

The LM1 when it was on my car just sounded really loud and somewhat "hollow", just like those ricer cars I mentioned. It made me think that people were going to hear my car go by and think "he can't make any HP so he's got to make it louder to try and make it SOUND like it's got a lot of HP".

but hey, like I said, that's my opinion. YMMV.

But I will say that I have yet to have anyone hear my car with the Bassani cat back on it and say, "why is that so quiet?" or "is that a 4 cylinder?"
