Sometimes it takes awile to realize this(for some)...

You have a 4.6

They have a 5.7

5.7 - 4.6 = You losing when you race motor vs. motor. Period


Put it into this perspective... What happens when you race a honda? You rape it because your motor is much bigger.

Of course there are other things to factor in but you get the idea.

i know that...but i want to be able to keep up with the 5.7s that are stock

and theres actaully a civic in my area that gets like a 9.5 second quarter mile and fuc*s with the cameros and mustangs all the time lol

Get the 4.10's,some drag radials, upper and lower control arms,and and Eibach drag launch kit!...this way you can launch really hard outta the hole and have them playing catchup

Most LS1's around where I live only care about adding more power and no suspension work...so while there spinning there tires I am able to out launch every LS1 I have raced so far.Do this and you'll do better than you or others might think

What good it power if you cant't hook it up

i have a 97 cobra, and i raced mildly modded ls1's and i can pull them a bit. but like everybody above said, theres no replacement for cubic inch. best thing you can do is setup your suspension for launching the car, drag radials, 4.10s, control arms, springs that will transfer weight to the rear when you stomp it, also remove your front sway bar as that will help you alot also, my 97 cobra, mods are: o/r x-pipe, mac catback, 4.10 gears, lowered(not sure which springs), k&n filter. now that i have my 315/35/17 on rear i still spin but its not a bad spin and ill pull alot of cars on launch, once i do my control arms & maybe put drag radials on the rear next time i should outlaunch most.
