I really don't know what to say after reading this article. Hyundia putting out a v-6 w/ 306 hp,Pontiac's 361hp G-8, Chevy 303hp Impala, Nissan 306 350z. Does ford plan on bringing something to thetable that's not going to break the bank?[sm=feedback.gif]

When was the last time you saw a hyundai that could hang with a termie or gt-500?
But thats "old" news I guess. There is talk of a turbo v6 and a big v8 that runs off different numbers of cyls depending on load like the old 4-6-8. I don't think that ford will dissapoint with the current momentum of the performance car market.

If they don't offer it, but the engine turns out to be stout enough to up the boost significantly, don't be surprised to see a V6 05+ in my stable soon
The TT V6 is a nice engine i must say... and i have to hold my tongue on the rest. But yeah Ford PT engineers seem to be getting a clue on how to flow air into an engine finally. Now they need to ***** to build the engines with strong internals.
i dont care about new cars....until they do something about the hideous design ill be sticking to my new edge....when the time comes that i can afford a newer car, i plan on just getting a bigger v8 for mine! or atleast a better one
A lot of companies are coming out with quicker more powerful cars nowadays. The new V6 Honda Accord runs the same as a New Edge GT. Cars just keep getting faster.
The slower cars are catching up to faster cars in speed. There is a limit of speed for the average car when you think about it. There is less room for improvement on a car that runs 14.0 than a car that used to run 15.5. The companies can make a 15.5 car into a 14.0 a lot easier than a company can make a 14.0 car into a 12.5 car.

I read about that Hyundai in C&D like 3 months ago.... they call it the Mustang Killer or what ever.... The Stock Specs still had it as GOOD Competetion with the New Edges... nothing to worry about IMO..... Now the G8 Different Story, I think its going to be Heavy liek the GTO
