Can a CEL Turn It's Self Off?
I thought CEL's on our cars had to be turned off manually, but I was getting one (Code P0190) and drove my car for a while without shutting it off. Yesterday the light went off while I was driving.
I'm hoping that the problem cured it's self (Maybe obstruction in fuel filter, etc.) but I really didn't think the car had the capability of turning the light off automatically.

I don't know how many cycles it takes, but after so many starts the CEL will shut off for a few more cycles.

So you think the problem is still there and the light will come back?

Nope the battery hasn't been disconnected.
I was having minor problems with the car, as described in this thread. When that was going on, I had a hunch that it might have been somehow caused by me not driving the car much at all during the winter. When the weather was bad there was periods of two or three weeks when the car wasn't even started. I thought maybe me driving it for a few days straight sorta flushed the system out a bit.

Is there anyway to turn it off manually. I need to get my car inspected and get the oxygen sensor fixed.
