You can run 13.5s with a set of gears and tires. You can run like 13.9 stock so is that to slow for you?

I wasnt trying to talk smack about these cars,I hope I didnt come off that way. I love the way the 2v gts look and sound. I just wasnt sure on how well they performed. I need to go test drive a few when im ready to buy a car and see what theyre really like behind the wheel.

the gto's are nice quick tobut ive never ben a fan of the z28's, but by far the new edge mustangs are the best lookin cars out there and got alot of hidden potential. look at the supercharger kits for around 3 or 4k you can get a complete bolt on kit that you put on in your a day or two. then you will not be disapointed.

i dont see why he would be dissapointed.he will have a well powered reliable daily driven car and if he wants power he could mod the gt .why are we disspointed in our cars ?we might not have a 5.7l engines in our cars but we can make it as fast or faster with a 4.6 and on top of that the looks of the edge doesnt compare to the ls1 cars.if im correct stock for stock an edge would be similiar or if not faster than a lt1 z28 and also be 10 years newer.so in my opinion you will not be dissapointed with the power and looks you get for the price.
+1....couldn't agree more.

you're best option for nice power/looks/MPG would be to stay loyal to GM. I'd say look into 98-02(if they interest you) because they are all great for the 3. GM's LS1 beats the 2/4v engines in about every aspect. You'll get much greater MPG out of a LS1 car with a manual than any 4.6 would see, and what is miserable about that is they have a 5.7L compared to our 4.6 and it still beats it in MPG. Obviously kills it in power. Buying one cam for 200-300$ is a lot better than buying 2-4 which is like $500-$1200 for same upgrade. If you want a DD V8 with todays gas prices I'd deffinetly suggest staying with GM.

I get great gas mileage with my 4.6L, especially for a V8. I can get up to 29 MPG highway. And what are you talking about F-Body's look better than SN-95's? They're ugly as $hit. As fas as power, yes, hands down the 5.7L will destroy a 4.6L stock for stock.
