An exhaust shop won't touch the cats unless you're putting some back in and even then, in some states, they will only put in exact OEM type replacements.

yeah most likely unless you find an underground shop and pay with CASH. but probably not so just buy and o/r midpipe and enjoy the luxury of getting those PITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTA manifold bolts off[:@]

Have a nice day.

just buy the new mid pipe without the cats on it. then you can just bolt it in. shops can't legally take the cats off a car that is going to be used for the street. the shop that did some exhaust work for me (fixed leak) made me sign that I was not using my car on the roads since I had no cats. they wouldn't do anything about my rear O2 sensors. also if you are removing your cats you will need a MIL elimnator or have your rear O2 sensors turned off!

The place I took my car to, to get my axle back installed, wasn't going to do the job because I have a o/r H pipe on my car. The ever powerful " CASH IS KING " changed that.

im glad i live in okc. we dont have vehicle inspections here, and the shop that puts on all my mods didnt even say a word when they installed my o/r mid-pipe. they charged me $50 cash to install it. funny tho, just trying to see if i could get a better deal...i pulled into a little exhaust/muffler shop to see what they would charge. when the guy told me he wouldnt touch it... i asked if he was just kidding? he said "no way pal....what you are trying to do isnt exactly legal" so...who knows....maybe stop by some shops in your area and ask around. dont go to some big corp. muffler place. try to find some lil mom and pop shack/shop. you might get lucky. an off road h pipe is only like $150. off road means no cats. check out brenspeed.com!

better save your money to get a mid-pipe. cutting your cats out isnt very practical...and yes once you get it, it will be LOUDER!! and give ya a few horses too!! here is how mine sounds with a mac o/r h pipe and flow 40's.
