Default Upgrade Plans & ?

Im a newbie and wanted to post what my future plans for my stang are, and get some opinions. For starters the previous owner already started by putting 24lb injectors and a flow-master 40's on it. What I am thinking for the future is 4.10 or 3.73 gears since i do almost all highway driving. A CAI and bigger mass air meter, with a 70mm or 75mm throttle body & plenum. I also want to put new headers on it and im thinking a pair of JBA shorties and a new mid pipe but im pretty sure that im gona have to do shorties b/c I live in North Carolina and I have to pass emissions but tell me if im wrong. All of this I want to have done by the end of the year and they next year save up to Supercharge it. I just want to get your opinions on this and maybe the order that I should do it in. Thanks guys

If your goal is to supercharger it, then ditch the CAI and mass air meter because all your doing is eating into your fund. They will end up a waste when you supercharge. As for the gear if your auto go with the 4.10 if your manual then go with the 3.73. As for your header question. I would suggest going longtubes or nothing. Get longtubes and get a catted mid pipe. Emissions guy correct me if I am wrong, but you should pass. TB+Plenum go 75. Other then what you have already thought of you may want to change the shifter, and setup your suspension a little better to handle the extra power.

Yea it is a manual, and i was also thinking about getting a box tuner at some point, i was already planing on a shifter probably a Steeda Tri-Ax. Ive heard gears are the first thing to do but after than im not sure where else to go . With longtubes i was worried if the EGR will still be able to connect to it. Im also trying to be cost effective since im a college student.

Technically on a visual check LTs do not pass but unless the guy inspecting the car is being picky it will be fine if the mid-pipe is catted.

Why does it have 24 lb/hr injectors? If it has not been retuned for the 24s its acutally loosing power rather than gaining any.

before you supercharge it consider suspension mods like weld subframes (maximum sports) to handle additional power, lower controls arms, and good rubber. TB definitely 75 MM and recommend Long Tubes and not shorties for headers.
