Default Cold Air Intake Questions

I was looking to buy a cold air intake for my 97 cobra..I kinda messed up and bought some stuff separately..I bought a k+n air filter to fit my 80mm mass air I bought. I now need a inlet tube to go to the throttle body and a heat shield because my filter is just sitting in my engine bay. I need a tube and a heat shield but cant find them separately. So I will probly buy a CAI so I can get everything I need. the thing is will a cold air intake fit to my after market 80mm mass air...If so what kit do think I should get? Does the fender well location get more air then the one that sits in the engine bay?..Thanks 4 the help guys....

dont get a cold air intake, get the JLT ram air intake... b/c people say that the raigives the same performance because it doesnt have the bendsdown into the fender but draws inwarmer air.but whatever intake you do buy, make sure it is JLT. they are top notch quality and i love mine.

jlt=waste of money 220 for a cai or rai is stupid! ebay fenderwell is the way to go either way, you won;t get that much gains with any of them so don't throw away your money

+1 a drop in K&N gives you the same power give or take 1-2hp (don't expect it to do much for you either way)

I heard to I would not get much of a gain either way, but I just thought if I bought the mass air meter I would get better air flow. I just wanted to get away from the big black plastic piece of crap..It wanted it too look good. what did you mean by ebay fender well? do they sell kits for cheap. I also think you thought i got a aftermarket filter I got the meter..sorry about that..
