How can i get 17x9-front black bullits & 17x10.5 black bullit deep dish-back to have the same beautiful stance as it would on a cobra?!? I drive an '04 red gt stock w/ mach 1 mods on body but not the hood. The back i'm not too worried about, but the front is my biggest concern. 18in's feel out the front nicely, but 17in's in the front on any gt usulook toosmall in my opinion. Does the cobra have a special suspension? I heard something about roller rockers, i dunno!?! This is my first post and i dont have any pics since i jus got the profile yesterday. Depending on the suspension (basically what springs you are running) 17's can look too small, I am running 17's and think they look good but would rather have 18s. The staggered look is very nice and I wish I had done that, but did not so I could still rotate my tires. As for the difference b/t the gt and cobra, I believe the cobra sits a little lower but it is on a very different suspension (ie IRS in the rear and I'm guessing different rate springs but I am not positive on that). I don't know if there is another roller rocker that I am not thinking of but roller rockers are in the heads on your engine. Maybe you meant rocker panels (side skirts)? If so they are different b/t the gt and the cobra.

 

if you are thinking bullets go with 17" wheels 18" they look funny. You should have not problem running those tire widths on your car and 315 tires look sick in the @ss end.

 

Well, you're right.. the 315 on 17x10.5 look sick in the back! But, i'm just worried bout the front. The width from left to right isn't a worry, it's just the distance from the tire to the wheel well! The back is easy to make look good but i've never seen the front of a gt with 17's that lookd good. The only time it's ever lookd good with the black bullits was on a cobra, lol. thnx guyz < "jEtt"

 

You will be fine with 17X9s up front I and recommend you go with either 255/40/17s or 265/35/17s up front. I have 265/35/18s in the fronts and rears and my car is dropped 1.75" in the front and have no issues.
