How much gas mileage will a cam take away?

 

What kind of vehicle is this, and do you have any other mods?

 

if u have a mustang and want to cam it and are worried about gas mileage...go away....chances are it will make it worse...

 

04 GT and all the bolt ons

 

u will notice 2-4 miles per gallon depending on how aggressive you cam is meaning stage 1 or stage 2 and how much you have your foot in it. Just idling with cams will suck the gas but well worth it.

I recommend you go with stage IIs and if you are ever thinking of going F/I then go ahead now with a custom blower cam which will work fine n/a.

 

anything head performance wise will make your mpg's go down. how much i dont know but i think the thump and lope sounds of the cam will make it all worth it.
