Issues running DRs???
Hey guys I think I may upgrade my rears to 10.5s and will get some better tires for on it, maybe Nittos. So my question is, will I have issues if I get caught in the rain or have to drive in it (or I guess more importantly if my gf gets caught in it)? I plan to have it supercharged along with 373 gears.
thanks.
thanks.

Nittos are kind of FTL when it comes to drag radials. They are pretty unimpressive when compared to other tires and the same suspension setup. I use BFGs(MTs are better) and run into ZERO problems regarding regular street driving. I've driven with them on in the rain/sleet/and ice and it's the same as a regular street tire. Don't drive like a d-bag and nothing will happen.
I've commuted for 5 years with nitto drag radials and have seen many, many rainy days and have never once had a close call. IMO they are about as good as a regular street tire in the rain. I've had freinds with M/T drag radials and they have to slow waaayyyyy down when it rains, I don't skip a beat.
I think if you are going to go with a drag radial you might as well go with a KDW or ET street radial...dont waste your time with nittos. I have many friends that run them and im not impressed and they end up selling them the next month and upgrading. You step up to a drag radial to get traction, so go big or go home. If you're worried about tread and rain traction stick with a street tire.

nittos= long lasting sticky tire, not the best but if you have a DD like me and need a bit extra than a street tire..they pwn
BFG owns Nitto on a launch with the same suspension. I dont see how you spin through 3rd, what mods do you have? I have friends with 350+ rwhp and are running the KDW IIs and they hook awesome.

thats what I am looking for so I think I will probably go with them. They aren't that bad cost wise either.
