Default HID's

I finally got the HID's installed this weekend... They look incredible and really increase night driving. I ordered the kit with High and low beam functions. The only problem is, when i turn on my high beams, it appears that the lights go lower than when they are on low. I am wondering if this is due to the reflectors in the headlight housing. I know that our healight housings are not really approved for HID's, because they are made to make a focal point of light with a halogen bulb and a HID bulb has its own focal point. Anybody else have this problem?
Thanks.

glad you finally got em in...did my advice help??....ya the brights are dimmer relaly, kinda pointless cuz the reg. beams are plenty....all the highs do is move the bulb to the side so don't worry about it, you'll see fine

I installed mine last Friday. My high's do go up when I change from low beam. I installed them exactly like it said on the directions. Perhaps you installed them backwards if they are indeed going lower. The hid bulb is on top with the little black thing(wire or whatever it is) is on bottom. I am 100% sure mine went up as we tested them on the garage door. I also drove around Saturday and Sunday night and no one flashed their headlights at me so without a doubt, I did not blind anyone. Low beam of course.

Me too bud... No, mine didn't go in like you said. I just had to shave the bulb housing down a little bit. I installed mine with the headlights in the car. If I would have known that about the brights, I would have just bought single beam and they would have been much cheaper.

They aren't backwards, I installed everything exactly how it said. The bulb is on top and the wire thing is on the bottom.... Oh well, the low beams are plenty.
