do you have to run 5w-20 in a 93 tuned engine or can you run 5w-30...mobile 1

 

I'm wondering what's the best weight to run in a stock GT 4.6L...Getting one this summer (hopefully) and it would be cool to know which oil is good since the first thing I'm doing is getting it's oil changed...

 

Does anyone read their owners manuals anymore? It must be a lost art.

 

Not everybody has an owners manual with their car, like me. Just the Haynes manual which blows.

To the OP, I dont know about your specific set up but I run Mobil 1 5w-30 so I would say you should be fine with that. It all depends on where you live and the kind of temperatures that your car see's on a daily basis.

 

If your oil cap says 5w-20 put that in. If it says Engine Oil, put 5w-30
