I deleted my EGR and Cut out the EVC and diconected the wires and vacumn lines. My question is; With the EVC does that have some other purpose other egr that the ecu controls? Thanks

i want mine gone on my 01...have any idea how i do that n fix/trick the comp?

 

I had my tuner turn it off.

 

The EGR is an oddity of the emissions control world, it actually increases powerpower under light to moderateloads by cooling combustion chamber temps--this is a Chevy site however the information is good for our cars too. Read the Other notes section near the bottom of the page.[/align][/align]I you do block it off make sure you disable it in your tune too or you may be setting yourself up for some serious detonation some hot day when you nail it in 5th on the highway..,[/align]

 

It's already turned off in the tune. I just want to know if the EVC is needed for any other operations of the vehicle electrical. I completely took teh evc's wiring out of the harness. thats why I asked.
