i have a basically stock 96 GT. all it has are 4.10 gears that i just got installed, king cobra clutch, and flowmaster mufflers. some guy with a hatchback civic with a k20 swapped into it keeps talking crap. so im wondering if u guys think i could take him?

 

Which K20 is it? K20A is from what i understand the most powerful engine that could go into it. Somewhere around 220bhp and 210ish tq. If he has that engine and no power adder i would say it would be maybe a good race. I would put you ahead with your torque though. Off the line you would destroy him if you have traction. Any other K20 engine would get it pee pee stomped.

 

hmmm. ill ask him which k20 it is. im confident that ill have him from a dig. he wants to race from a roll though (typical) so we'll see what happens.

The K20 will beat you. Even from a dig it would have to spin so god damn much for you to actually win. From a roll he'd destroy you.

I agree, if the K20 puts out 220hp as stated above I think it's going to ugly for the stang.

 

Hes going to beat you easily, it should be an easy 13 second car.

 

power to weight dude.. that civic hatch proble doesnt even weight 2500 soaking wet.. hes got you on any race of your choice.
