i saw in a magazine the other day (forgot which one but ill let everyone know when i find out) that the 2010 mustang will come with the regular V6, the same 3v 4.6 V8....and a thirds option.
(prepare to bust in your pants)
a 6.2 liter SOHC naturally aspirated V8 with 400 crank horsepower.

If this is true, I wonder why Ford's getting away from FI.. Sort of odd, since the FI Mustangs seem to be a crowd favorite, between power and performance..
Unless these are just the entry level models, and the Cobra would follow suit with something bigger and nastier..
Maybe I'll be alive to see it..

well id give pics but i dont have a scanner. i saw the magazine at publix. i think the headline was "the 25 most anticipated vehicles" the article was really small. im going up later today and ill see what magazine it was. im sure they'll have it on their website.

Uhh... doesn't Chevy has the 6.0 LS2 that makes more power than that? That they developed years ago?

just figured out which magazine its in.
the june edition of car and driver. go check it out kiddies.
and 35thAnni99GT. the LS2 may have made more power....but it was an OHV engine. so OF COURSE its gonna make more power.
we're talking a SINGLE OVERHEAD CAM engine that makes 400. SINGLE!!!! as in 16 valves!!!!!!400 HP!!!!! now think......what will the DOHC 32vversion of this beast make? NATURALLY ASPIRATED.then think....what happens if i slap on a supercharger/turbocharger. or even run nitrous through it. we're talking a serious engine here.
my only hope is that theyput some sort of active fuel management technology in this engine. other than that its an engine made from god's left ********.
