Regardless of how 'built' your driveline is, 500-600rwhp will break anything and everything. You have to be willing to understand you will have a powerful project car that is capable of breaking every driveline component.

Some people only have to do it once, other people have horrible luck.

If you are okay with spending the money for a strong transmission & rear, with the possibility of it breaking into a million pieces...then do it!

It's not a whole lot different from a stock car, but the parts and labor will be a bit more expensive.

Im not the luckiest guy i know ........

I have the tranny.. Building my Rear at the moment.... i dont reallly wanna do either more than once lol.....

Fortunately me and my friends do all the work to the car.... soo no labor costs Not sure if we are going to try the gears or not..

Now im getting worried, I dont want an Unreliable car that Breaks whenever I "Get on it". I guess i will just run a Big Pulley and be happy with Mid 400's and throw in a 100shot for the occasional Z06 ??

Not that I can offer you alot of insite, but we are aiming for the same goal. I'm about 2 weeks from ordering a TKO-600, clutch, driveshaft, and all the little **** that you need.

Looks like you're on the right track.

Dan04Cobra is right for the most part. No matter how stout you build your car, parts are still going to break. I highly doubt your built block, tranny and rear end are going to be the problem. This is why you bought these parts. No one said our hobby isn't rediculously expensive. I would respect a mustang with 550-600whp over any F-body since I know what kind of build it takes to get there.

How many times have you been to the track and have seen an LS car run in the 11sand how often do you see a mustang? I respect any mustang lightyears over a chevy, not because I'm bias, I've owned both, but because I know what it takes to get there.I would vote to keep up the build. Hopefully some of our veterans will chime in and tell you how your buildlist looks. Good luck bro.

Weellllll, I don't have Dan's level of experience here so take this for what it's worth, but I've seen people with 650+ RWHP DD's before.. there aren't many of them, but it CAN be done.. Though anytime you're really "on it" in a boosted car you're putting stress on SOMETHING.. Though like Dan said, if you've got the money and you're aware that it "could" break, I'd say go for it. I'm in the process of building my mach up right now, though with a stage 2 P-1, and when all is said an done I'll probably be somewhere around 600-ish, maybe a little less in RWHP.To tell you the truth, with a D-1 S/C head unit, you COULD make in the neighborhood of 700+ RWHP or more, but that would definitely bein the risky zone. If 600+ makes you nervous, tune for 550-ish to keep it a little safer. All depends on how rough you are on it.

The one thing I didn't see on your list was an aluminum driveshaft. They're usually a little stronger and lighter than the stock ones. Dont know if you got one of those when you got the TKO or not. I did when I bought mine. Also a good idea to have a good driveshaft yolk in case you snap it off.. don't want the the snapping up through the floorboards going down the strip. lol One reason why every NHRA strip requires you to have one after you get below a certain time.

ANYWAY, just play it however you think it's gonna be safest for you brudda, it's ultimately your choice.

People build 500+rwhp cars and drive them daily all the time. Obviously, the harder you run it and the more you get on the gas, the odds increase that you will break it.

Just have anotherform of transportation and it won't be a problem!

Your car could explode and catch fire sitting in your garage before you leave for work. It'll never be bulletproof.

Keep in mind that with such a complete build, you are going to have little bugs and nuisances to chase down. It will likely need troubleshooting at one time or another, but it's not anything different from owning a relatively stock car.

Thanks for the Reply's... I do plan on a Driveshaft..Do they make a Driveshaft that you DONT need the spacer for with the TKO's?

This is the Reason i would love TT's lol Turn up to the Risky Zone whenever needed lol.... I might end up having a DD Tune (3.8-4.0 Pulley) and then going all out on the Race Tune??

I do have a zx6r Kawasaki. But i dont wanna DD it. Too many people Die around here on bikes lol (yes most of them are stupid 100+ but there are WAY 2 many old people down here that cant see)

Is there an Upgrade to the TKO600? incase i break mine

I REALLY Wish i were Rich lol.....Would be SOOO NICE. Ive had my Blower in my Garage for like 8 months. Motor in my Garage for like 4 months. I just want to get all this cash and get my Build Finished(Then i start on the Inside )

If you have the $2300 to blow, MMR's got a Pro Trans 900 that they say is good for up to 900hp, that's based off the TKO600, or for a little less they have the Pro Trans 750 that's built off the TKO500. They also offer a one piece carbon fiber driveshaft, it's pricey but they rate if for up to 2000hp.
