Default Cam Install = Bad Noise Help

He guys, I recently finished installing my heads which I sent for a porting job and a set of COMP CAMS XE270AH (AKA 270s) Well when we started the car up it had this loud noise. It sounded like the lifters. We had charged them up and everything. So we took off the valve cover and everything was ok. We started it with the cover open and all the components ran ok. Heres a video, any suggestions. Sorry for the message that appears. had to resize the video because it was in HD, too big for photobucket.

it could be the same problem i was having with my stage 1's it ended up just being some slack in the timing chain... I took it apart and re-assembled it 4 times in 5 days.[:@]

iv'e seen this before sounds just like what happened to me one time. Are shop sent heads out to be cleaned and inspected. once we got the heads back and installed them. It made the same noise. the problem was that the oil ports on the head for the timing chain tensioner where blocked. the shop had installed new plugs in the oil gallie ports to the tensioner, not knowing that they were blocking an oil feed for the tensioner's. sound just like a dry lifter.

Hey guys, just to let you know its ptvc. We were cheking the combustion chambers again with the wire camera and found that the intake valves were hitting but only on the drivers side. We are doing a compression test today to see if everything is ok. We also found that the cam for that side was off timing by one tooth in the cam gear. We will be working on it this weekend. Ill let you know how the compression test comes out
