Default shifter question

hey, i have a 96 5 speed gt that is bone stock and i plan on keeping it like that, one thing i would love to chane is the shifter. im looking for feed back. i have a lot of experience with f bodies, hursts from slp, the factory, one b&m and one pro 5.0. my question is whats everyones experience with either the pro 5.0 or steeda tri-ax? from what ive read a good deal of people use both, about the same price. thanks for the help.

I say Tri ax! That's because i have one. Others will say MGW and you may get a Pro 5.0 here and there. Either will be better than stock.

MGW here. I love it, nice and sturdy. The handle adjustability is awesome too. I've driven an 03 with a Tri-Ax in it. The Tri-Ax has a pretty similar feel but it was a little notchy and not quite as smooth as my MGW.
Tri-Ax or MGW are both good choices.

The Hurst looks good, until you try to bang 3rd and your hand slips off of that ball and you put your fist through your radio. Been there, done that.

I recently bought a usedTri-Ax for $55. Itworks well and is in really good condition. The difference between it and the stock is like night and day. Most people will recommend MGW orTri-Ax,buteverybody agreesthat anything is better than the stocker. With the exception of the MGW, you caneasily find a nice, usedaftermarket shifter from most of the major companies (Hurst, Steeda, Pro 5.o, etc.) for less than $100.
