CLEANING MY MAF SENSOR
hey guys my car was studdering a little at idle and dropping down to low rpms.... i was told to clean my maf sensor....
does anyone no how to do this without messing anything up....

try the IAC (idle air control) as well, id do that first

theres a pic of what it is, get some brake cleaner or MAF cleaner from the parts store, take it off with 2 8 mm bolts spray it a good couple times. disconnect the battery for 5 min or so, then put it back and start it up, let it idle and reset itself

buy a bigger maf
buy a bigger maf
but umm... just use MAF Cleaner and spray a bit of it on the 2 prongs and it dries up pretty quickly then you may wanna check your IAC and might wanna clean that.
QUESTION: what kinda of tool do i have to use to separate the mass air sensor from the housing? Its a star-shaped bolt but i couldnt use my star-driver cause it has a little bulb in the middle of the bolt head that wont allow the star-driver to insert all the way.
