so i got my windows tinted last summer 35% all around and a few micro bubbles appeared so the place is going to fix it for free. and i was going to get that "sun strip" tinted as well but it has those little black dots that the tint cant stick to. they said they can cu around that. have any of you done this. can u show me a pic if you have. thanks

i want mine tinted.... it looks MUCH better.. deflects bright head-on headlights in the night. and it helps block the sun out and keep ur car cooler of course....

as long as its light enough, its not a problem

 

1. it looks better than just that damn strip
2. the strip would only be less than 3 inches tall so it wouldnt hit right in the middle of my eyesite
3. to me it looks better.
4. it knocks alot of glair off from the sun and the hid headlights.

 

tint the whole windshield, you will like it alot better.

 

Is that legal in your states? I know IL sucks with it's tint laws in general but, the windshield seems like everyone would be against it.

 

Well besides the legal side of it. What about the possibility of a nighttime wreck. Is it possible to get screwed by the Insurance company. They might try to say the dark windshield hampered your vision and since it was done by you they won't pay for any damages.

I think it looks good but don't know how practical it really is. It's not like everybody has HID's.

nj tint laws is like pulling teeth so i wouldnt know about windshield tint altough i loved having 35% on my door windows. but i failed inspection so they had to go.

jrherald i know what u mean im 6' 3" and if i sit up straight my head touches the headliner so i slouch just to drive haha

 

im not that tall lol im 5'11! i just hate when the strip catches you right in the sweet spot and kills your eyes. my wife's 5 foot nothing and her ranger had a strip about 8 inches tall on the windshield and everytime id drive it i had to slump down in the seat or look under that damn strip. what a pain in the azz. i have 50% on mine and you cant tell its on there, my buddy just had his charger done and i got him to do 40% and it just right. i might take it back and have the 50 taken off and 40 put on.
