Default TICK TICK TICK

Car has 4o thousand miles, the car always ticks, when u accel, the ticking gets more tick tick tick tick, what is it? car sometimes has trouble starting up like it takes few secounds to turn over. doens't matter if the car was siting or heated, its random . Most of the time it starts up fast thu. Thought it was a bent pully, i just dont know thu. any help would be great.

Check your plugs and make sure they are tight.

all stock but a cold air intake and exhuste.

oxford is correct. trust me if one isnt tightandif it strips the head threads its a pretty penny. happend to me

if its not a loose plug or an exhaust leak it could be detonation becaues you said it only does it under load

No he says it "always ticks, when you accel" there is a comma in there. LOL So not detonation.

i say you should check the driver side exhaust flange for an exhaust leak. thats what makes mine go tick tick tick.

WHOOPS![8D] i would guess exhaust leak then, i had one on my pass side and it was really annoying

I had a tick tick tick once. Built a new engine cause of it. damn bearings
