Default Do for emissions testing

My 2002 GT is due for emissions testing. I live in CT. I had a performace tune about a year ago. I am guessing some sensors such as O2 downstream where shut off. I hear they just hook up their tester to your ODBII port and sniff for codes. Will the test they run be able to detect some sensors were shut off and give me grief. The tuner (XX Tuning) said it will fly through emissions.

It depends on the state. For instance, here in Maryland, they just scan for codes. In Virginia, they actually check to make sure all the sensors are functioning properly (at least that's what I was told by an inspection station).

You should be fine, it sounds like they just check for any check engine codes that it might be throwing. Even if they hook a sniffer up to it you should be fine since your running a catted midpipe, although thats not a promise.

Checking to make sure sensors are working doesn't concern me because I know they are. I was just wondering if their software was smart enought to go into my ECM and detect the fact that some sensors were turned off. I doubt it because the tuner would have said something, but this was a year ago and their technology may have advanced since then.
