Default Drag Radials

I posted this in wheels/tires but no one goes in there. I figured id get better responses here.

I think im going to invest in some drag radials for the track/street. I think im going to go with Nitto 555rs. I have 17x9 wheels on there now with 245/45/r17 Dunlop SP Sport5000s. What size radialswould you guys suggest for my wheels? The same size (245/45/R17)? Or the 275/40/R17? Any suggestions/tips would be appreciated. Here they are.

Any other places I should check for better prices?

275/40-17

I got mine from discount tire direct. When I filled out the order form online I put in the notes section that I was a forum member and asked if they give discounts and they did.

Check DiscountTireDirect and see what prices they have. I have a 17x9 inch wheel as well, and I run a 315/35/17 Nitto 555R.

I think im going with the275s. Whats this about "better wear with heat cycling." or some crap like that? Ive never heard of that can someone explain?

They are on sale right now for $155 which is decent. Steeda had them for $144 but no free shipping. AM has them for 170 but wouldnt match the prices of competitors(weird because I thought they did...). I guess ill order them from here and ask for a discount as suggested.

Thanks guys! Hopefully there will be no more 2.4 60fts in my future LOL [>:]
