Default First Ford, First Question

Well this weekend I will own my very first Ford Mustang at the age of 35, never too late huh? I've been a Chevy boy all my life, still am, but absolutely love Mustangs.

Couple of questions:

I'm buying an 02 GT that needs the 3rd gear synchronizer replaced. Unless it's gonna cost a fortune I'm thinking of having all of them replaced just in case. Any ideas as to what the average cost of having this done is? I'm guessing somewhere around $1000.

Also I need to replace the tires and was wanting to get the widest tires I could fit on the stock wheels. From what I've read it looks like the widest will be a 255/45/17? Where can a fella get a decent tire for a good price? Tirerack?

Thanks guys!

On your stock wheels you can go 275/45/17

If your going to replace all your syncros, you might as well buy a TKO 500 and have a race ready tranny.... or you can by my stock 3650....
