Default nitrous

i was just wondering i just bought my first GT. It's a 2003 gt with 9000 miles on it. im looking to do some modifications to it. I want to build up the horse power and i was talking to a fellow machanic and he said that puting nitrous in a gt with low miles on it will ruin the motor. i wanted to talk to people that has played with the motors, i think that a low horsepower spray would be fine. But what would be a good place to start. is nos ok to play with or is there a better modification to start. right now the car is compleatly stock and i was thinking about going with the classic intake ECU, and exhause. but i want the most power for the buck. what do u guys think, what should i do.

The "fellow mechanic" you were talking to needs to stick to doing oil changes. Get a good kit with a rpm window switch, WOT switch, fuel pressure safety switch, change to 1 step colder plug and run a 100 shot and you'll be fine. Or get a ZEX N2O kit. They make a very safe, beginner type kit that works well and will let ya get your feet wet.

Yeah, I was wondering some of these things too, I have a car that's about to break into the 100,000's and I don't know if I could run some N20 on it safely or not and if I can what brand and type.
