Going to the strip
well, I'll make sure I let the car cool down before I make my runs, I'll take out all of the extra crap I don't need, and I'll make sure I don't spin.
I'll be running on street tires, so it's not like I'll be hanging on the torque converter or anything.

Wow might be a lil hard to get traction with the street tires on. The good thing is that on tnt nights they seem to put on alot of vht. They dont put any down for the sports compact nights they hate them or something. They actually get me mad cause they dont spray water down in the water boxes on those nights kinda dumb but just one of those things that gets me. When I go im going to run som 245/40-18 street tires so im not to sure how traction will be there brand new so that will help out a little.
well i took my passanger side headlight and gained 2 tenths but the first run was right after i got off the interstate for an hour and the second one with the light out was with it setting for about 45 min to an hour
Good luck man. I removed my spare the first time I went to the track. I just left it out after that since i have AAA. Dont blow your clutch like I did though. Cost me $540 for a new clutch/flywheel and thats without labor costs. Expensive mistake.
