Question Next Mod help

Hey guys, saving up money for a while and i have about 300 dollars to spend, my stang is stock "basically". I have a few mods that i found that would be sweet to get, but im wondering which one would be the best one for a "fun factor". first is the pi intake swap, more power would be alot of fun, next is an aluminum driveshaft. third is a mid pipe w/o cats, springs and then last but not least the short throw shifter. Which one of these five things should I get? Power and mpg is what I would like, then again, who wouldn't? thanks alot you guys.

The PI swap will be the biggest pain in the *** to do, but you should see great results from it. However, an O/R mid pipe is only 130-200 bucks at the most, and not that hard to install. You will like the greater volume of sound each time you drive your car.

Maybe look into some mufflers/a catback?

Honestly if you aren't even worried about making the car any faster, just do appearance mods.

do the PI swap or get cobra body parts and make the car look good.

Gears are really up there for a fun factor as well, but they aren't exactly cheap. Installation is recommended by a professional instead of the average DOYer.

I must say that the Steeda shifter is the most noticeable mod I have done. A close second would be mufflers and then gears. If you do the labor yourself (the shifter is a snap), you could do both a mid pipe and a shifter for $300. You may want to consider changing tranny fluid while you are doing the shifter install, its real easy to drain the old fluid out the bottom plug and add new fluid through the shifter opening.

Question

I've done the tranny fluid already, and for the pi swap there is an ebay installation kit for 100 bucks, which then the intake itself is like 200ish. I'm looking for power i want to beat my firends 2005 legacy gt auto, its got pulleys and a CAI, and a rear sway bar.

gears will give you the most "fun factor". go with 4.10's. they will cost you maybe $100-150 mor than what you have saved but it will be well worth the money you spent.

gears is the best bang for the buck other than nitrous in my opinion. The pi intake won't give you much power unless you do the whole pi swap. PI heads, intake, and cams.
which is over your 300 dollars and a lot of money in labor if you can't do it yourself. Gears would be over your 300 dollars as well. So I would get a mid pipe. It can be found used all the time for cheap and new for 140 or so. That would hold you over for a while and give you about 5-8 hp. If you do the mid pipe and do not have inspections where you are located I would do an egr delete as well. Then save your money for gears. 275 for gears and the install kit. 150-400 dollars for install depending on where you go. Then get your car tuned.

i heard from just the pi intake swap i could see 15 real horses, is this not true? I plan on a full pi swap one day, maybe next summer when the bills for the car stop, lol. would it be easier to have part of it installed already?
