Most machine shops will charge $150 for assembly, $200 for balancing, $80-$100 for bore and or hone. Do yourself a favor and stay away from a shop that calls them selves a mustang performance shop if you want to have a shortblock built. Find a local machine shop that has been in buisness for a long time and go thru them. The shop I use back home does everything from lawnmower engines to dirt track race engines and they do execelent work.

Whats your cost for the engine tear down , blue print and assemble then engine placement ? Thinking of getting forged internals some time soon. Noticed your in Rochester , I use to live in Pontiac not too far from. Ever check out the races on University Dr. ?

I'm a Chevy guy that races Fords. Kinda ironic, but it works for me.

No cost in engine teardown. Send me a PM regarding what you are looking for, what kind of internals, etc and I can give you a much better ballpark figure.

Or an exact amount, once he has an exact idea of what he's looking for in a shortblock/longblock.
