Window Tint Ticket
Quotas do not exist. I work for a department in WI and there are some guys that write 3 tickets per month and others that write 50. I usually go for 20 (mostly speeding tickets). I'v never stopped for window tint, however I dont like dark tinted windows. Walking up to a car I cant see in to puts me in danger. I dont know how many people are in the car and for all I know, they could be lining me up in the sights of a gun as I walk up.
I do what I have to do to get my job done and as safely as possiable. There are plenty of guys that stop for window tint but they give fix it or ticket it warnings. The person has a month to fix their car (take the tint off or correct it) or it becomes a ticket. Its fair enough.
I talked to a Ford dealer ship in town here and they told me there is no such thing as "factory tint". The car comes with the back windows tinted but not the windshield or front doors. A customer can request extra tint to be put on the car at the time of pick up. The dealer ship puts the tint on (legal or not) and the customer has to sign a waver that the dealership is not held liable if the customer gets stopped or gets a ticket. Before the tint is even put on the car, all the laws are explained to the customer and they know the legal limits for tint. It is their choice and risk to put the tint on there for too bad if they get a ticket. Over tinting a car is a safty hazard and I totally understand why there are laws against it. Like I said its just something I dont stop for, that and loud exhaust.

Starting pay and overall pay in the big cities vs small cities/townships around here is really even. Actually the closest big city around here is Milwaukee, and they make way more then me because of all their overtime pay. Some of the Milwaukee cops with over time make $90,000+ per year where as, if I'm lucky, I'll make $52,000. I am on a small department with about 5 years on. Our over time budget is so tight, I cant get anything. The risk is the same everywhere. If something bad happens in a big city, they can have 20 cops in like 1 min. Here if I call for help, I might get 1 cop with in 10-15 min. We all agreed to the risks police work gives but in reality, I would feel safer working in a big city then a small township.
When it comes down to it, its all about cost of living. Cops in northern WI make less (usually starting pay is around $35,000) because the cost of living is alot less in northern WI then southern WI.

if i was a cop i would never want to be in a city haha, but thats just me.
I forgot about the doctors script. When i was little i took a bungee cord to the eye and have permanent eye damage so if i go to a doctor and tell them the glare distracts me from driving then i should be fine right? haha and if its like that then 5% here i come!
