Default Back tire decision..

nitto drs or kumho ASX

these will be going on my 17x9 cobras... the kumhos will of course be the economical choice in terms of longevity and up front cost... but i would also like to stick and move when i go.. and take my car to the track.

VOTE...

I have the 555Rs on my car. They are just fine in the rain if you don't floor it. Even if you do floor it, they will probably perform much like any regular street tire does in wet conditions (like ****).

I wouldn't expect much more than 12k out of a track tire even if you baby it.

ah, you puss, I have BFG's on the rear, and Riken or some off brand on the fronts. (the BFG's hook well and have like a 340 treadware rating, so they were the obvious choice for me)

In a previous post, one mentioned the 555R's...which is a drag radial. So you are trying to decide between a street radial and a drag radial?

IMO best street radial BY FAR: Nitto 555 or BFG KDW(don't last as long though)

and drag radials go M/T
