Since i cant post in the S&S section yet (idk why, i have "gear" membership, isnt that the requirement?) I will post it here.
I ran a local guy's cam only Camaro SS tonight. The car is a 6 speed, has a decent size cam (i forget exactaly what one, but i believe its in the 230's) Full exhaust and an FAST manifold along with 3.73 gearing. We lined up 3 times from 20mph and went until about 140 ish, each time we were door to door until after 110 ish. He would pull ever so slightly in the top of his 3rd gear and then pull a bit more in 4th to the point where he had a half car on me in the first 2 runs and then a good full car on me on run 3. I was very impressed by this. Does this sound about right? i consider myself a good driver and i can hit my shifts well, that car just seems to pull better up top.

nope N/A... I have seen spray/cam Ls1's before, it would have been a lot worse for me.

What else does that SS have in it, cuz your cobra should be pulling atleast 430hp at the crank. I know the 02 SS has like 330hp at the crank. Personally I think you should have taken him. But then again an SS with a cam and gears, and full exhaust is a deadly combo.

Yea...definitely would have. I have a 97 LT1 T/A with a large cam, gears, lid, MSD, and just a small shot of the happy gas haha. Its my weekend warrior and I have a hard time with just cammed, geared, and lid LS1s. The LSx engine is the car gods gift to earth haha.

Again, for all the naysayers. Regardless of how you feel about the "Bow Tie", if you pull up to one on the streeets, you better have your sh*t together or you'll be sent home unhappy and posting how you got your *** kicked on some forum.

well a bolt on/cammed ls1 has 400horse potential to the wheels if the cams large enough. you car however should be well over that with the mods you have. i've gotta say he was hiding something from you or something, just dosen't make sence.
