Default Is it worth it?

I've been looking at a 99 Cobra for sale at $8600. Looks to be in ok condition but haven't gotten to inspect it in person. Engine has 155k miles on it though and the transmission was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago. Would this car really be worth getting?

8600$ is WAYYY too much money.

I bought my 98 Cobra with 100k miles for 7000...and the body is in MINT condition... The motor went like 6k later..

I know someone with a 99 with the same amount of miles, and just played with the trans a little. It runs strong, but it smokes on startup, and when he gets on it, it leaves some smoke behind... its def. in need of a rebuild, and probably living on borrowed time. The car you are lookin at isnt black with chrome FR500s is it?

Thanks guys, just want to get some more opinions. Also, it is a black cobra, but it doesn't have chrome FR500s.
