Default What all should get loctite??

When i build my engine that is? I've never heard of people loctite head bolts cause those are torqued big time. But what about cam cap bolts, the cam gear bolt, timing cover bolts, water pump bolts??? I just can't really think of anything that would really NEED loctite. So can anyone give me a list of things to loctite when i put my engine back together, if anything even needs it. thank you.

sorry about the dumb question. lol

A little of medium loc-tite is all i've ever used on things like cam bolts or other TQ critical bolts. That way I can still break them loose if I need to. Medium helps them from backing out due to vibration and such. I never EVER recommend the permanent stuff.

Loc-tite 243
or 262 for larger bolts.

Also some of your head bolts will recommed using some sort of sealer in there because they go right into the water pathways. In those cases the loc-tite servers a dual purpose, sealer and anti-vibration loosening.
