what are stock stangs going for?
so im pretty sure im selling my car but what ive been thinking is pulling everything off and turning it back to stock and selling everything off of it cause more people would rather buy a stock stang than a highly modified one. what are stock 2001 mustang gt verts with 55,000 miles going for. i would like to get 10k for it but idk the nada on one is like 12.600 and kbb is like 10,500 but i know those numbers usually dont mean ****.
I think nada values are the dealer selling price, not the actual value of the car.
with edmunds true market value, it shows your car is around 10.3k private party or 9k trade-in. This is for excellent condition so take off a few hundred depending on actual condition of your car.

So I recommend you try selling your car with blower setup and ask 3k more it is better than going through the trouble of de-parting and retuning costs etc. If you cannot get 2500 additional then I recommend pulling the blower off at least.
well all the tuning i have is a kenne bell chip which i can just take out and the computer should resort back to stock. i tried selling it awhile back with the vortech but no one in this town would pay 13k for it and the most i got offered was 10k and thats because everyone that was interested didnt have a clue on what any of the stuff on my car was. so i think i could sell the kb, exhaust, x pipe, gauges, shifter, ect... for more and someone actually buy my car for just the looks
If you don't mind the work I'd take the stuff off especially if you have all the old factory stuff. I know when I bought my car if it had any more than 1 or 2 bolt ons it was a pretty much no go, just cause I didn't know who did the work or how it had been treated.

market meaning the average person
a person who wants a mustang is going to buy a mustang regardless...
as for the taking everything off and selling it as 'stock'...i've seen that going around a LOT LOT LOT on this forum, and if you're not telling the buyer about everything the car has seen, I think it's ****ty to sell it as 'stock'
