Default Jersey Exhaust Rules??

Anybody in Jersey know what the laws are regarding where the exhaust exits? Will I be able to get through inspection with dumps?

im thinking that that is gonna be ok. here in pa, your exhaust has to exit past the line of the back of the doors. so i think dumps would be ok. not 100% sure.

I lived in Jersey and they have some strict rules but........ You can get away by finding the right inspector.... That goes for pretty much anywhere.

BTW, I should probably ask, the reason I'm thinking of switching to dumps other than sound is after me and a buddy put my shorties on, I've suddenly begun having alot of clearance issues with my SLP kit. Particularly, I'm getting contact between the lower control arm and the exhaust hanger on the passenger side. Anybody else ever have a problem with this? I can't seem to find a solution that doesn't end with rubbing the upper arm.

I live in Jersey and I know they will fail you with dumps. The exhuast can't exit under the car. And i kinda had the same problem you have with my exhuast. I had to loosen the clamps and move it around till it cleared the control arms. And then just adjust your tips and you should be good.
