Default Gas Milage???

tell me if my gas milage is WAY off or if this is common

but according to my calculation I usually get 14-17mpg.

I usually get 200 - 220 tops out of a full tank of gas...most of the time I refuel with a gallon or two left in the tank, but is this really low or is this average???

Pretty common if you only 'get on it' occasionally...there will be some members on here who tell you that they get less and some more...as the foot dictates what you are going to actually use or get depending on how you look at it?

I have been getting 14 or so the last few fill up's but I'm running 4.30's so I lost about 1mpg from the 3.27's by my calculations which isn't bad considering the hike I took in the gear department. The car is not my DD either and it's hardly driven on the highway. So all in all not bad but it's not like my Honda's 30-35mpg...but my Honda isn't as fast as my stang either...lol. You have to pay to play I guess would be the motto there ;~)

Cool...little off topic here but my plans in a few years are to run a KB might have to make some adjustments on the gearing and probably going to stay w/a 3700 stall and I know making anywhere from 350 to 400rwhp on 4.30's w/that stall will be plenty for me on the street...lol. But next year my main objective is to lower...I know should of been my first mod but it wasn't...lol. But I wanna get that done and then put that stall in. That should keep me happy for awhile!

if you go with a KB, go with something like a 3.55 or a 3:31 rear gear, trust me on that, you'll thank me later when you can actually use first gear

^^^I'll keep that in mind...the torque is pretty brutal with the roots blowers(KB) so I can understand the possible de-gearing...I got awhile for that though...I am going to plan out the whole F/I mod way before it's actually executed? A lot of people jump in the supercharged bandwagon and have problems from the get go. Lots of people if not most would get it in a heartbeat if they could afford it! F/I = Greed, or is the other way around...lol. But for real, I might even forge the block to get more HP. I am not sure where this is going to take me yet...just know that I want that kind of power 350+rwhp...not to use everyday but just to have it when I want too!

I usually get about 20mpg around town. That includes getting on it a few times.
