check engine light

guys what does it mean when it says that your car is too lean?... cause i checked it with a scanner and thats what it told me... my check engine light is on and it bugs me to see it on... can someone please help me with that problem???

What was the exact code? There are at least 10 that deal with "too lean"...

what code? the 2 main ones are p0174 0171, lean codes are pretty general as far as codes go, many different issues can cause a lean code, low fuel pressure, misfire, vacuum leak , bad maf , problem with the o2s.
