Default Finished product

Hey guys, I finished my install of the rear seat delete/"stereo", and I have to say, I love the way it looks. I actually finished it a couple days ago, but I figured I'd wait until the smoke blew over from my last thread.

anyway, here are the pics with the top up. since I finally got the top put back in, I found that there were a couple creases in the fabric from being folded for a while, so I'm hoping it will kind of come out with it being up for a while.

Oh, and I know its dirty, I've cleaned the car since then, so it isn't dirty any more, but this gives you an idea of what it looks like.

well I got new padding for that rear bar, but there's some unpainted area's of the bar, so I'm going to hit it with a coat of flat black paint before I put the cover on.

EDIT: yeah, I put my flame suit on just in case

Dude that bar is ****in' dirty! WTF is wrong with you?! I don't believe you make all that money and that the car is fast! Show me your high school diploma, engineering degree and paystubs! Oh, and you didn't have cancer either! Prove it, liar!

There, I summed up the last thread.

What's the point of having the top seat cushion and no bottom cushion, though? Not like anyone can sit there with that dirty bar in the way =P.

Making that rear top delete is a PITA.

Is your amp UNDER it?? If it is, it's going to overheat. That's not only bad, it's dangerous. Either drill a few port holes and attach a computer fan to take out the heat made from the Amp or find a new place for it.

remember you need air inlet holes also .

If it were me, after I made the rear delete I'd just mount it on the back side of that.

It does look good though. Great project.

it's under there, and Sxynrd, there are holes everywhere in the "lid" as I like to call it, and I ground some of the backing on the carpeting away near the holes so it wasn't thick so that heat can get through. but yes, the amp and speakers are under there, and I've made sure it won't overheat. There are two sizeable holes above the speakers, and then a cutout above the entire area of the AMP, which you can't see because the carpeting is covering it, but again, some of the backing to the carpet was ground away using a belt grinder to make it thin enough for heat to escape effeciently

This was my plan all along, so at least now I have your guys aproval

Oh OK, that's good. It would be bad for your car to go up in flames because of anInsignia.

Might want to think about rewiring the amp and run the wires down one side of the car.Its safer and doesnt look ghetto. You dont have the power wire running through the door jam do you?LOL
