Default wtf is wrong with ford

alls i have to say is i drove a 2003 Mach 1 this morning and this was the first time i drove the four valve 4.6. i was in aww at the difference in power/torque. its a completely different animal. I got back in my GT in discust. Why didn't ford use the four valve engine in the GTs. I am now in the immediate market for either a Mach or termi my mind is made up.

look at the trade in value you would get for your car and plus how ever much more it is to get the mach or cobra. Now put that money you would have to add to buy the mach/cobra and dump it in the 2v=better!

2 camshafts instead of 4, 16 valves instead of 32 -- but the real reason is that if the GT had the 4V engine no one would have paid $4k (16%) more for the Mach 1...

I guess its a matter of what you want out of the car for it to be cheaper or not. 4v heads cost more and so do 4v cams. For me the 2v is perfect and cheaper.

well, they wouldn't have had to, because the GT's cost would have gone up 16% and the Mach would have just been an appearance package.

Is that what they did in the late 60s/early 70s?

I love my 2v! You feel so much better when you have a built 2v and some ***** in a 4v comes up besides you and thinks that his sh*t doesn't stink and before you know it, he's telling you nice car and wanting to know what all you have done to it because you just imbarrassed him and his girl is pissed and wants to ride in your car now.
